Strategic investor ONEJOON Co. Ltd. from Korea
acquires Eisenmann Thermal Solutions GmbH & Co. KG

The new company ONEJOON GmbH will start full operation on January 15, 2020

The new owner of the business operations is ONEJOON GmbH, based in Bovenden (Lower Saxony), a subsidiary of ONEJOON Co., Ltd., Korea.
ONEJOON is a mechanical engineering company that among other things specializes in the manufacture of furnaces for processing cathode and anode materials in the lithium-ion battery industry.

"Eisenmann Thermal Solutions GmbH & Co. KG" specializes in the development, manufacture and sale of industrial furnaces for the production of various materials. As a subsidiary of the Eisenmann Group, the company had to file for bankruptcy in early August 2019. However, Eisenmann Thermal Solutions is not part of the Eisenmann Group's core business, so the interim management was searching for a separate investor solution for this company.

Since 2016, both companies have cooperated closely together and underlined the strategic importance of their collaboration by signing a Cooperation Agreement in 2017 with the goal to bundle the comprehensive experience of ONEJOON as kiln builder in the field of Lithium Ion Battery and its materials and of Eisenmann Thermal solutions as a supplier of high temperature furnaces for various applications with a global setup to become the global market leader for kilns and process equipment for battery materials.

The acquisition is, therefore, the logical continuation of this successful collaboration and will form a powerful and globally present supplier of thermal process equipment. The new Company, ONEJOON GmbH, will continue the business in its markets with the same structure at the same locations with all employees being transferred to the New Company.

It is the ambition of the ONEJOON Group to serve their customers in future even better than before.
